Hojicha Powder (60g) | The Original — Invented by Kyo Hayashiya in 1902
In 1902, Shinbei Hayashiya III roasted leftover sencha stems over charcoal, creating a warm, nutty tea that people instantly loved. Hojicha was born in our shop. More than a century later, we still craft it the same way — now available as a fine powder for lattes, baking, and beyond.
Flavor Profile: Warm and toasty with notes of caramel and roasted grain. Naturally lower in caffeine than matcha, making it ideal for afternoon and evening drinks.
