Hojicha Ukon is a lightly roasted Japanese hojicha made from tender tea stems — crafted by Kyo Hayashiya, the Kyoto tea house whose founder, Shinbei Hayashiya III, invented hojicha in 1902. Light roasting preserves the stems' delicate natural sweetness while developing a warm, gentle roasted character.

Flavor Profile: Gentle and warming with a soft, natural sweetness and mild roasted notes. Less intense than heavily roasted hojicha — easy and soothing to drink at any time of day.

How to Brew:
Add 5g to 150ml water at 90–95°C. Steep for 30 seconds. Adjust amount to taste. Can also be cold-brewed overnight in the refrigerator.
